Hey there,

Third edition, and this week's batch skews toward companies that just got a pile of new money and need to hire fast.

That's a specific window worth understanding — post-funding, before the org chart calcifies, companies hire faster and are more willing to take a chance on someone without the "perfect" resume.

If you're going to cold-DM your way into a role, this is the moment to do it.

Four listings this week, ranging from "pitch us a role that doesn't exist yet" to a hard $85K number.

Job 1: Pick a Role (Or Invent One) at Alloy Robotics:

Who's hiring: Joe Harris (@joe_harris), founder and CEO of Alloy Robotics, an AI data platform that helps robotics teams debug fleet failures. They just closed $8M at an $80M valuation, backed by Square Peg, Blackbird, and Airtree, with 51% month-over-month usage growth.

The role: Seven listed openings: Account Executive, Chief of Staff, Forward Deployed Engineer, Full Stack Software Engineer, Growth Generalist, ML Engineer, plus a genuinely rare eighth option: "Pitch Your Own Role."

If you think you can create value for them in a way that isn't already a job listing, they want to hear it.

Pay: Not listed — early-stage, well-funded startup, so expect equity to be part of the package alongside base.

Who this is for: The Growth Generalist and Chief of Staff roles are the most accessible entry points if you don't have deep robotics or ML background. The "pitch your own role" option is worth taking seriously if you have a specific, unusual skill — that's literally what they're asking for.

The catch: This is a 12-person-scale startup growing fast, which means undefined processes and high ambiguity. Great if you like building the plane while flying it, rough if you need structure.

How to apply: Apply via the Dover link in the post, or DM @joe_harris directly if you're pitching a custom role.

Job 2: GTM Role at Dench (YC S24):

Who's hiring: Kumar Abhirup (@kumareth), co-founder of Dench — a Y Combinator S24 company. He previously worked at Merse and Airchat, so this isn't a first-time founder.

The role: Go-to-market, remote or San Francisco. They want someone who lives on Twitter and LinkedIn, has built outreach pipelines before, and has enterprise sales experience.

Pay: Not listed.

Who this is for: If you've run cold outreach at scale — this is a natural fit. "High intensity and throughput" is doing a lot of work in that listing; they want volume and speed, not polish.

The catch: YC-backed and early means fast pace and likely long hours during pushes.

"Good at problem solving in general" as a requirement usually means the role isn't fully defined yet — you'll be shaping it as you go.

How to apply: DM @kumareth on X.

Job 3: Direct-Response Copywriter at an 8-9 Figure Ad Agency:

Who's hiring: Aaron (@aaronmtrx) — runs an agency working with 8-9 figure brands, shipping 3,000+ ads a month.

The role: Direct-response copywriter. Experienced only, no beginners. Able to comfortably handle 12 scripts a week.

Pay: $85,000/year starting salary, plus month-over-month bonuses on winning ads, with zero earning cap. This is the most concrete number in this issue.

Who this is for: Someone who already has direct-response copywriting chops and can prove it fast — not someone learning on the job.

The catch: The application process itself is a filter — he explicitly says he'll ignore anything that reads like an AI-generated pitch, and wants a blunt, specific reason you should be hired. There's also a $3,000 referral bonus, which tells you the role is real money and he's serious about filling it quickly.

How to apply: DM @aaronmtrx directly. Skip the polish — be specific about your results, and write it yourself.

Job 4: Growth Marketer or Creative Producer at ElevenLabs:

Who's hiring: Jack McDermott (@Jackmc), leading a growth team at ElevenLabs — the AI voice and audio company, now with 300+ open roles globally after a careers page redesign.

The role: Two roles — a Growth Marketer for consumer products (paid, organic, partnerships), and a Creative Producer who blends creative and performance marketing using AI creative tools to produce and scale ads.

Pay: Not listed — but ElevenLabs is a well-funded, high-profile AI company, so expect competitive comp.

Who this is for: The Creative Producer role is interesting if you already think in both "what makes a good ad" and "how do I use AI tools to make ten of them fast" — that combination is increasingly what performance teams want.

The catch: 300+ open roles signals a company hiring at serious scale, which usually means solid process — but also means you're one of many applicants in the system. A direct, specific referral or DM likely cuts through faster than the general application.

How to apply: Apply directly through ElevenLabs' careers page, or DM @Jackmc if you know someone who fits and want to make an introduction.

My take:

The Aaron listing is the one to actually pursue if you have direct-response copywriting experience — $85K base with uncapped bonuses and a fast, low-friction application process (a DM, not a portfolio review board) is a rare combination.

The Alloy "pitch your own role" option is the most interesting long-term bet in this issue: it's an open invitation to make a case for yourself instead of competing against a job description, which is exactly the kind of opportunity that rewards people willing to actually write a good pitch instead of a generic "I'm interested."

Pro tip: Notice how three of these four postings explicitly filter out generic applications — no AI-sounding pitches, no boilerplate DMs, no "passionate about growth" openers.

The founders hiring this way already get flooded with low-effort replies. Your entire edge is writing five sentences that couldn't have been sent to any other job posting.
