Hey buddy,
Scroll through the Instagram or Facebook page of any small business in your town.
The local bakery posting a blurry Thanksgiving graphic with a random stock photo that has nothing to do with their brand. The hair salon sharing a generic Valentine's Day template they found on Google with no mention of their name. The hardware store posting a Fourth of July wish that looks like it was made in 2009.
They know they should be posting. They just don't know how to make it look good. And they don't have the time, or the design skills to figure out Canva.
That's 33 million small businesses in the US alone. All of them posting on holidays, all of them sharing product updates, all of them doing it badly — not because they don't care, but because the tools that exist weren't built for them.
Here's the one that should be.
Why I'm Handing This To You
I see this problem everywhere. I personally hired an agency for this specific thing for my offline business. But in this era of AI and SaaS’s, I was shocked to find nobody building this.
Small business owners are not designers. They shouldn't need to be. The idea that someone running a convenience store or a local restaurant should spend 45 minutes figuring out Canva layers just to post a Christmas greeting is absurd.
The tool should do the work. The business owner should just show up and pick.
I'm not a SaaS builder. But this is an obvious gap with an enormous market. So here it is.
The Blueprint
The product works in two steps.
Step 1: Set up your brand once. When a business signs up, they go through a simple three-minute onboarding. Upload your logo. Enter your business name and tagline. Choose your primary and secondary colours. Pick your design language: clean and minimal, bold and colourful, traditional and warm, modern and sleek.
That's it. The app stores everything. You never touch a design setting again.
Step 2: Pick a template, get a branded graphic. Every time you need a graphic, you open the app and choose a category:
Holidays: the app has every major US holiday pre-loaded. Thanksgiving, Christmas, Halloween, Fourth of July, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Labor Day, Memorial Day, Black Friday, Super Bowl Sunday. The calendar auto-suggests upcoming holidays so you're never caught unprepared. Browse the templates for that holiday, pick the one you like, and your logo, business name, and brand colours are already applied. Download. Post. Done. Two minutes total.
Product graphics: enter a product name, upload a product photo, pick a template style. The app places your product image into the template, adds your branding, and generates a clean, professional-looking product post ready for Instagram, Facebook, or WhatsApp. No cropping, no resizing, no layers.
Announcements: new branch opening, sale announcement, new service, public holiday closure. Pre-built templates for every common business update, auto-branded on generation.
The AI layer: AI handles the intelligent parts, automatically adjusting your logo placement so it doesn't clash with the template design, picking complementary colours when your brand colours don't work perfectly with a particular template, and suggesting the best-fit templates from your chosen design language.
It also generates ready-to-post captions for every graphic. Festival graphic generated; caption already written, hashtags included, ready to copy-paste.
Output formats: Every graphic exports in the right size for every platform automatically. Instagram square, Instagram story, Facebook cover, WhatsApp status: selected at download, no manual resizing.
How it makes money:
Free tier: 5 watermarked graphic downloads per month, standard templates, basic brand setup.
Pro at $5/month: unlimited downloads, full template library including regional and niche festivals, caption generation, all export formats, priority template updates when new festivals approach.
Business at $15/month: multiple brand profiles (for businesses with more than one outlet or brand), bulk download, team access so staff can generate graphics without touching brand settings.
The pricing is deliberately low. This product is for a local gym owner, a neighborhood restaurant, a boutique shop. $5/month is less than a Starbucks run. The volume play is the business model; millions of small businesses, very low price point, very low churn because the product solves a genuine daily problem.
Why Right Now
Social media presence is no longer optional for small businesses. Every customer checks Instagram or Google before walking through the door. Every festival is an opportunity to stay top of mind. Every product launch needs a graphic.
But the design tools that exist: Canva, Adobe Express, VistaCreate are built for people who enjoy design or have the time to learn. Most small business owners have neither. They use these tools once, get frustrated, and go back to sharing blurry screenshots downloaded from Google.
The market for a genuinely simple, brand-aware graphic tool is enormous and almost completely unserved at the right price point. The closest thing is Canva's brand kit feature but it still requires the user to apply it manually to every template. That's still too much friction.
Auto-branded on generation, at $5/month, for the business owner who just wants to post and move on. That's the gap.
The One Thing That Makes It Work
The onboarding has to produce a great-looking graphic in under three minutes.
If the first graphic a new user generates looks professional; better than anything they've made before, instantly, they're hooked.
They show their spouse. They show the person at the next shop. They tell their business friends.
If the first graphic looks mediocre, they churn before the free trial ends.
The template quality and the auto-branding intelligence are everything. Spend the most time there. Everything else like features, pricing, marketing is secondary to making the first output genuinely impressive.
Go Build It
Find a developer or build it with Lovable or a similar no-code tool.
Start with one category: Holidays only. Build 50 high quality templates. Nail the brand setup and auto-apply flow. Get 20 small businesses using it for free and watch how they interact with it.
If they keep coming back every festival, you have a business.
Go.
Talk soon, Kris
P.S. The best products are the ones where the user feels competent, not the ones that impress them with complexity. A shop owner who generates a beautiful Thanksgiving graphic in two minutes and posts it across their social channels feels like a pro. That feeling is the product. Sell it.
